Ranveer Singh has always been known for his raw energy, intense screen presence, and that absolute conviction in every role he does. But lately, many of us felt like something was missing—a truly gritty, no-holds-barred performance that reminded us why he is among the best in the business.

After watching the first look of Dhurandhar, it feels safe to say: this might be the comeback we all wanted to see from Ranveer Singh.

A First Look That Feels Like a Film in Itself

What surprised me most is that they didn’t drop a typical 2-minute teaser. Instead, they released a 28-minute first look—almost a short film that sets up the world, tone, and characters with brutal clarity.

Honestly, it doesn’t feel like a trailer at all. It’s cinematic, atmospheric, and relentless in how it grips you. Watching it felt like getting a taste of Animal 2.0—except with Ranveer’s own brand of menacing charm that reminded me of his legendary Alauddin Khilji act.

The Anti-Hero Appeal

Ranveer isn’t playing your traditional hero here. From the very first frame, you know this guy is dangerous. There’s a coldness and unpredictability to his performance that’s hard to look away from. He’s not saving anyone. When he hits, it feels real—you actually believe he’s going to smash someone to pieces.

It’s violent. It’s bloody. And it’s definitely going to get an A certificate in India. The blood splatter and hand-to-hand brutality look like they’re not holding anything back.

A Stellar Ensemble

And it’s not just Ranveer. This movie also features R. Madhavan and Ajith Dol, whose screen presence is fantastic, plus Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt—all of whom seem to be going all-in with their roles.

Nobody feels like they’re phoning it in. You can tell they know the kind of movie they’re making—something dark, intense, and made with serious conviction.

Aditya Dhar’s Vision

Director Aditya Dhar is known for Uri: The Surgical Strike, and here too you can see his signature style. Gritty realism mixed with cinematic flair.

The camera work in the first look is genuinely arresting. Every frame feels carefully crafted. It has that modern mass-appeal aesthetic but doesn’t look cheesy or over-the-top. It’s violent and stylized but still feels grounded.

The Story – A Peek Into the Plot

From what little is clear in the first look, the film seems to follow an Indian intelligence operative who infiltrates a Pakistani terrorist group. He goes so deep undercover that he becomes one of them and even leads them.

It’s rumored to be loosely inspired by the real-life story of Para SF Commando Mohit Sharma. If that’s true, then we might see a great arc of sacrifice at the end, making this not just an action fest but an emotional journey too.

The Release Date Clash

Dhurandhar is set to release on 5th December 2025, clashing directly with Prabhas’s The Raja Saheb.

And honestly? After watching this first look, I’m 100% sold on Dhurandhar. Even though I had expectations from it, they weren’t this high. Now it’s easily my first choice on that weekend.

Ranveer Singh’s Big Comeback?

This film feels like Ranveer’s chance to silence all doubts. He’s had a few hits and misses in recent years, but Dhurandhar looks like the movie that will remind everyone what he’s capable of.

It’s brutal. It’s intense. And it’s exactly the kind of role that lets Ranveer go completely unhinged—in the best way possible.

Final Thoughts

If this 28-minute first look is any indication, Dhurandhar won’t just be another big-budget film. It feels like an experience, something that modern audiences craving gritty, stylish storytelling will flock to.

Aditya Dhar looks like he’s delivering not just mass appeal but class. Ranveer Singh seems completely immersed in the role. And the supporting cast is stacked with talent.

Honestly, you can tell from a distance that this one is going to be good.

So what about you?

On 5th December 2025, are you buying tickets for Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar or Prabhas’s The Raja Saheb?

Let me know what you think in the comments. Which film has your attention right now?

Until then, stay tuned!
